Kris Bryant Remains One Of Fantasy's Better Picks
7 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant should once again put up strong numbers. The 2016 National League MVP saw a dip in home runs and RBI, but improved his batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and on-base plus slugging percentage, slashing .295/.409/.537/.936. The Cubs struggled to get men on base in front of Bryant, which was a big reason for his lack of runs batted in. Bryant remains one of the most talented young hitters in the game and should see an increase in his power numbers entering 2018. Bryant will lose his outfield and first base eligibility that he had last year, but has the chance to gain it back during the season. He was one game shy of gaining it in the outfield and will likely be able to gain it back as manager Joe Maddon continues to be versatile with his lineup. There should be no fear of using a top-10 to top-12 pick on Bryant for the 2018 season.
