Noah Gragson May Be A Great Surprise Driver For Homestead Lineups
4 weeks agoStewart-Haas Racing's Noah Gragson received a starting position of 16th after qualifying for Sunday's Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, a new personal-best starting position at the site in the Cup Series so far. In his only previous start at Homestead in the Cup Series, Gragson started and finished 25th while substituting for an injured Alex Bowman at Hendrick Motorsports. In five starts in the Xfinity Series at the site, Gragson has been incredible with one win, four top-5 finishes, and a Driver Rating over 100 gained in all five events. Through 33 races this season, Gragson has 20 top-20 finishes, including five at 1.5-mile Intermediate tracks. In practice, Gragson ranked second in overall lap averages and was the fastest driver in the 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 consecutive lap averages. Based on his practice speeds, Xfinity Homestead history, and intermediate track performances this season, Gragson is considered a sneaky, excellent DFS recommendation for all formats.
