Minnesota Vikings kicker Will Reichard makes his NFL debut on the road against the New York Giants. Successful kicker plays are often ones on somewhat competent offenses against below-average defenses, and that perfect storm is scheduled to happen in MetLife Stadium this week. The Vikings should be able to move the ball well with the explosive skill players at their disposal, though touchdown upside is limited by quarterback Sam Darnold's possibly erratic play. The Giants are anticipated to be below-average on defense, so there's a reasonable chance to expect a handful of Minnesota drives to end at least in field goal position. Reichard had a very impressive preseason and has the leg strength to be a weapon for a team that may sputter on offense later in drives.
