3 months agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio went 3-for-4 with a double, a solo home run, a walk, two runs scored, and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Reds. The home run came in the top of the ninth of a tie ballgame and would prove to be the eventual game-winner. After a sluggish start to his major league career, finishing May with a .210/.254/.327 slashline, the 20-year-old phenom has gone on to slash .318/.367/.536 since June 1. The young Venezuelan now owns a .277-17-66-63-20 line with a .336 wOBA and 115 wRC+ on the year and is looking every bit the superstar the Brewers expected him to be when they signed him to an 8-year $82 million contract before ever playing a single major league game.
