Bradley Blalock Earns No-Decision
3 months agoColorado Rockies pitching prospect Bradley Blalock made his debut with the club on Monday and his first MLB start against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Blalock, the club's No. 20 prospect per MLB Pipeline, went 5 2/3 innings and allowed six hits, three runs, no walks and struck out four to earn a no-decision. Blalock was brought over from the Milwaukee Brewers when he was acquired for Nick Mears at the trade deadline, and apart from one inning for the Brewers, he has spent his season at Double-A Biloxi and Double-Hartford. Between both levels, he has made 18 starts with a 4.36 ERA and 76 strikeouts in 86 2/3 innings. Blalock pitched well enough to earn another start, and if that happens, it would come against the San Diego Padres at Coors Field. He should be avoided in that matchup and can remain on the waiver wire for now.
