4 months agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (back) remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Buxton came down with some lower-back stiffness after crashing into the outfield wall on Sunday against the White Sox and will now miss his third straight game. It doesn't sound like a very serious injury, but given the 30-year-old's lengthy injury history, fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if he eventually lands on the 10-day injured list if he isn't able to get back on the field by the weekend. Minnesota has a day off on Thursday, so check back on Friday to see if he's available for a scheduled doubleheader against the division-rival Cleveland Guardians. Austin Martin is in center field on Wednesday and is batting eighth against Cubs right-hander Javier Assad.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
