Chase Dollander Electric In Double-A Start
4 months agoColorado Rockies pitching prospect Chase Dollander had another good start for Double-A Hartford on Sunday. The Rockies' top prospect fanned six over five innings with one run allowed on three hits and two walks. In three starts with Hartford, Dollander has a 2.70 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with 13 strikeouts in 13 1/3 innings. His strikeout rate has slowed a bit in comparison to High-A where he recorded 111 punchouts in 70 innings. But his 124 strikeouts this season are exactly what fantasy managers want to see from their starting pitchers. It's part of what makes Dollander such an intriguing prospect even though he will have to pitch at Coors Field eventually.
