Eloy Jimenez Traded To Orioles
4 months agoThe Chicago White Sox continued their fire sale as they traded outfielder Eloy Jimenez to the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday. This is a sneaky move by the O's as Jimenez isn't too far removed from being one of the more exciting prospects in baseball. This season, Jimenez is slashing .240/.297/.345 with five home runs and 16 RBI in 65 games. The oft-injured outfielder has a ton of potential but staying on the field has been the biggest issue for him. It's uncertain where he'll play in Baltimore, but a designated hitter spot is best suited for him. In exchange, the White Sox will receive left-hander Trey McGough. A 26-year-old that has posted a 1.99 ERA across 28 appearances between Double-A and Triple-A this season.
