Marco Luciano Stays Hot For Triple-A Sacramento
4 months agoSan Francisco Giants shortstop prospect Marco Luciano continued his power surge for Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday. MLB Pipeline's No. 73 prospect went 2-for-4 with a walk and home run, marking his sixth homer in the last 19 games. For the season, Luciano is now hitting .243 with eight homers and 36 RBI. The 22-year-old suited up at second base in this contest and gaining versatility could help him get more opportunities at the big-league level. Luciano has had an interesting year with getting a cup of coffee with the Giants earlier in the season and dealing with a hamstring injury that has limited his playing time this season. As one of the top prospects at the shortstop position, the Giants would be wise to give Luciano another chance before the season wraps up. For now, his most value is in dynasty leagues.
