Cole Carrigg Hitting Well In High-A
5 months agoColorado Rockies shortstop/outfield/catcher prospect Cole Carrigg earned Player of the Week honors in the Northwest League for High-A Spokane. Carrigg, the club's No. 8 prospect per MLB Pipeline won the award by hitting .407 with two doubles, one triple, two homers, four RBI and three stolen bases over 27 at-bats. The switch-hitter out of the San Diego State has proven to be able to make contact from both sides of the plate and despite his aggressiveness, his quick bat speed has helped him out. Carrigg's athleticism is a huge attribute that he carries and could help him climb the system faster than most players, should he continue to prove he can hit the ball well. For the season, Carrigg is hitting .303 with eight triples, seven home runs, 33 RBI and 29 stolen bases in 254 at-bats. Managers in dynasty leagues should consider adding the 22-year-old to the watch-list as his talent projects to play out well in a future home of Coors Field.
