Adael Amador Activated And Sent To Double-A
5 months agoThe Colorado Rockies activated shortstop Adael Amador (oblique) from the 10-day injured list and optioned him to Double-A Hartford on Wednesday. Amador had been sidelined since June 21 after being diagnosed with right oblique tightness. Upon his activation the club chose not to keep the 21-year-old on the active roster by sending him back to Hartford, where he has spent most of his year. Amador struggled in his brief stay at the big-league level, but figures to get plenty of playing time on the farm to work out his kinks as he still offers plenty of potential as one of the club's top prospects. Amador could get another chance this summer with the Rockies, but as it stands, his best value is in dynasty leagues.
