Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager (hand) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the San Diego Padres. Rangers' manager Bruce Bochy did say there's a chance that Seager gets added to the lineup before first pitch. For now, Josh Smith will cover shortstop and bat second versus right-hander Adam Mazur. It sounds like Seager is extremely close to playing, so Thursday could be a potential return date for the All-Star slugger.--Andy Webb
