In what was perhaps the wildest ending to a race this season, Denny Hamlin went from earning what would have been his fourth win of the season to ending the day in 12th in Sunday's Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway. While the initial story of the weekend looked to be how an 81-minute rain delay impacted the event, the story became how a series of overtimes and fuel shortages flipped the complexion of the race. With a total of five overtimes, fuel became a major issue for many of the top drivers in the field, as most had pitted earlier in Stage 3 and were unprepared for the additional 31 laps the overtimes added. While initially the No. 11 team was prepared to risk running out of fuel, the team later adjusted their plan, as they wanted to leave the track with points, opting to pit rather than run out of gas on the track. Although it is likely the overtime pit strategy will be questioned, the team does not have too long to dwell on this, as NASCAR will now head to Chicago for the second ever street race in the Windy City.--Adam Erhardt - RotoBaller
