Ricky Tiedemann Sharp In Rehab Outing
5 months agoToronto Blue Jays top pitching prospect Ricky Tiedemann (elbow) had a successful rehab outing at Single-A Dunedin on Wednesday. Tiedemann pitched 2 1/3 hitless innings with two walks and five strikeouts. It was another good step for the Blue Jays' top overall prospect, who is progressing from an ulnar nerve injury. Tiedemann is one of the top pitching prospects in the minors and could be getting closer to a major league debut. The left-hander has a plus fastball-slider-changeup mix and once he demonstrates he is removed from his ulnar nerve scare, he could be ready to contribute for the Blue Jays. The 21-year-old is one to monitor closely during his rehab starts.
