5 months agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Justin Verlander (neck) is uncertain to make his next scheduled start on Thursday versus the Chicago White Sox. The veteran right-hander has been making slower progress than expected, according to Astros manager Joe Espada. Verlander was scratched from Saturday's start against the Detroit Tigers due to discomfort in his neck. The Astros will likely wait and see how Verlander feels over the next few days before making a final decision.
