Manny Machado Homers In Padres Loss To Angels
6 months agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado provided the team's offense in Monday's 2-1 loss at the Los Angeles Angels with his first-inning homer. Machado's dinger was his sixth of the season, but it was his first longball since he went deep in a win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on May 3. Fantasy managers hope Monday's homer is a swing in the right direction for Machado, who is slashing .242/.307/.342 with 27 runs, 31 RBI, and four stolen bases over 244 plate appearances. He is currently on pace for just 15 homers, which would be the fewest of his career since he hit 12 homers over 82 games with the Baltimore Orioles in 2014.
