6 months agoThe Seattle Mariners are set to sign outfielder Victor Robles after he was designated for assignment by the Washington Nationals over the weekend, according to Adam Jude of the Seattle Times. Robles is expected to join the Mariners on Tuesday before the team's three-game series against the Oakland A's kicks off. The 27-year-old struggled mightily at the plate for the Nationals this year, hitting just .120 with two RBI and four stolen bases. However, Seattle will take a chance on a player who was a top-five prospect in baseball just a few years ago. Right now, Robles isn't worth a waiver wire add in fantasy, but maybe a change of scenery could help him reach his potential.--Joey Pollizze - RotoBaller
