Anton Forsberg Shuts Out Chicago
9 months agoOttawa Senators goaltender Anton Forsberg posted a shutout on Thursday versus Chicago, backstopping the team to a rare victory in the matchup. The Senators had lost 11 straight games to the Blackhawks since 2016 before finding a way to win on Thursday. Forsberg produced 19 saves, and Claude Giroux and Parker Kelly bagged a pair of quick goals at the start of the game. 2023-24 has been another tough campaign for Ottawa, but Forsberg has managed to put together a winning record, going 13-12-0 across 25 starts with two shutouts. However, he has allowed 3.27 goals with a .888 save percentage -- the league average marks stand at 2.91 and .904.
