Scoot Henderson Won't Return On Friday Night
10 months agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson (quadriceps) won't return to Friday's meeting with the San Antonio Spurs. He suffered a left quad contusion and was initially labeled as questionable. However, to no surprise, he was ruled out for the remainder of the contest. The rookie would go on to finish with only six points in six minutes. Henderson has played well enough in his first year in the National Basketball Association, averaging 12.4 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.0 rebounds. However, he's shot a rough 29.1% from deep and has missed time for various reasons. With this in mind, Henderson could sit out a few games, starting on Sunday versus the Chicago Bulls. If Malcolm Brogdon (knee) doesn't return for that one, the Blazers will be shorthanded in the backcourt, meaning Anfernee Simons could get more minutes than usual. At the same time, Matisse Thybulle and Rayan Rupert might get extra work, with the former being a more practical fantasy option.
