10 months agoNew Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes (upper body) was placed on IR Thursday retroactive to January 5. Hughes has missed eight games with an upper-body ailment and isn't expected to return before the all-star break. How long he is out after is anyone's guess, but because he was retroactively placed on IR he is eligible to come off of it at any time. For the season, the 22-year-old has 45 points (15 goals, 30 assists) in 32 games. Hughes' return is vital for both the Devils and fantasy managers, as the team has gone 3-5 without him and fantasy managers have missed his production. --Matt Garon - RotoBaller
