11 months agoMinnesota Wild winger Kirill Kaprizov (upper body) was placed on the IR Wednesday with an upper-body injury. Kaprizov missed the teams' last two games and was expected to miss another week or two with the injury, so this designation isn't a surprise. The timing is ugly for Minnesota and Kirill the thrill, who had just begun to get going with 10 points (five goals, five assists) in the six games before his injury. With Mats Zuccarello also on IR, the Wild are missing a lot of their high-end talent. Ryan Hartman and Marco Rossi have been bumped to the top powerplay unit and hold the most streamer appeal, but even then it is tough to expect much from them given what they are working with.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
