Jalen Brunson Erupts For 45 Points
1 year agoNew York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson kicked off the NBA's new in-season tournament with a big 45-point performance Friday against Milwaukee. He tied Walt Frazier and Stephon Marbury for the most 40-point games by a point guard in franchise history, but it ended up coming in a losing effort as Damian Lillard sparked a late Bucks run, giving the Knicks a 110-105 loss. Brunson scored by far the most points on the historic first-ever night of in-season tournament action, shooting 17-for-30 from the field with a 2-for-8 record from downtown and a 9-for-11 effort at the charity stripe. His line also included five rebounds, four assists, and one steal. Brunson's shooting has been a bit off early in the season, but he's a highly talented scorer and was never going to slump for too long.
