Byron Buxton Hopes To Play This Postseason
1 year agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (knee) is continuing to rehab his sore right knee in hopes of playing this postseason. Buxton has been out since Aug 2 when he strained his right hamstring. During rehab, his right knee began to bother him, and he hasn't been able to get back to a level where he feels comfortable playing since. The bigger problem here is that Royce Lewis is also in a situation where he is playing injured, and therefore he may not be able to play in the field. This would mean Buxton would have to come back as an outfielder, which he may not be able to do. Either way, it seems unlikely that Buxton returns for the Division Series, which is set to kick off Saturday.
