Blake Snell Tosses Seven No-Hit Innings Tuesday
1 year agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Blake Snell turned in another fabulous start in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Rockies. Snell pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing no hits and four walks with seven strikeouts. The bullpen would take the no-hitter into the ninth inning, where it was finally broken up. The 30-year-old has had an excellent and strange season, going 14-9 with a 2.33 ERA, 11.74 K/9 rate, and 5.02 BB/9 rate. Walks have stunted Snell's fantasy ceiling in the past despite his huge strikeout upside, but he has somehow managed to work around them this season. He will look to keep rolling in his next start at the Giants.
