Josh Jung Being Activated And Starting On Monday
1 year agoTexas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung (thumb) is being activated from the injured list and will start and bat fifth in the lineup for the Rangers against the visiting Boston Red Sox and right-hander Kutter Crawford on Monday, according to manager Bruce Bochy. Jung will provide a big boost to the Rangers already potent lineup, as he's hit a strong .274/.323/.489 with an .813 OPS, 22 home runs, 67 RBI and 70 runs scored in 461 plate appearances and 109 games in his first full major-league season as Texas' primary third baseman. The 25-year-old All-Star hasn't played in a big-league game since Aug. 6, though, so don't be surprised if he closes out the year inconsistently as he looks to get his timing back.
