Alex DeBrincat Was Reportedly Unhappy With Role In Ottawa
1 year agoSources have told Postmedia's Bruce Garrioch that Alex DeBrincat was unhappy with his role in Ottawa, which appears to be the reason why he skipped town after just one season. DeBrincat, who moved to Detroit this summer, played behind captain Brady Tkachuk on the second line. Despite being unhappy with his situation, DeBrincat still produced a decent season with 66 points in 82 games and even posted a new career high with 39 assists. He'll probably feel like the shackles have come off, and we should see DeBrincat shine for his hometown team in 2023-24.
