Anthony Edwards Named To World Cup All-Tournament Team
1 year agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards was the lone American named to the All-Tournament team for the FIBA World Cup. The rising star averaged 18.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while clocking 26.0 minutes per contest. His overall field goal percentage wasn't bad as he finished at 47.5%, but his three-point shooting left a lot to be desired at 31.1%. Overall, it seemed to be a good experience for Edwards as he tried to lead a team as the go-to guy like he did for a lot of the Timberwolves season when Karl-Anthony Towns was out.
