Dennis Schroder Named MVP Of FIBA World Cup
Toronto Raptors guard Dennis Schroder was officially named MVP of the 2023 FIBA World Cup as Germany took home the Gold after defeating Serbia by a score of 83-77. In the championship game, Schroder finished with 28 points, two rebounds, two assists, and one steal while shooting 9-for-17 from the floor and 8-for-10 from the charity stripe. The 29-year-old averaged 19.1 points, 6.1 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game across eight total games in the tournament. The Raptors are hoping his big summer carries over into a big NBA season for his new team.
