Dennis Schroder Named MVP Of FIBA World Cup
1 year agoToronto Raptors guard Dennis Schroder was officially named MVP of the 2023 FIBA World Cup as Germany took home the Gold after defeating Serbia by a score of 83-77. In the championship game, Schroder finished with 28 points, two rebounds, two assists, and one steal while shooting 9-for-17 from the floor and 8-for-10 from the charity stripe. The 29-year-old averaged 19.1 points, 6.1 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game across eight total games in the tournament. The Raptors are hoping his big summer carries over into a big NBA season for his new team.
