1 year agoAccording to The Athletic's Sam Amick, JaVale McGee elected against joining his former team, the Golden State Warriors, when the Dallas Mavericks waived him last month. The 35-year-old won two championships with the Warriors in 2017 and 2018, but he decided to join the Sacramento Kings instead for the upcoming campaign. McGee won multiple rings with the Warriors but actually didn't play a lot for the team, averaging just 9.5 minutes per game. He would've been well down in the pecking order on the current roster as well, although McGee isn't expected to see the court very often for the Kings either.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
