Luis Rengifo Has Strained Bicep
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo left Thursday's game in the first inning after suffering a strained left bicep. Rengifo was taking practice swings and suddenly grabbed at his left arm, after which he was immediately taken out of the game. The 26-year-old will likely hit the IL, and depending on the severity of the strain this could mark the end of his 2023 season given the short amount of time left and the Angels being out of contention. That would be a blow to fantasy managers who have picked up the streaking Rengifo, who has a .327/.388/.592 slash line since July 1. Randal Grichuk, Trey Cabbage, and Brett Phillips will likely see more playing time while Rengifo is out.
