Jarred Kelenic Reaches Twice In Rehab Game
1 year agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jarred Kelenic (foot) went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk and two strikeouts in his first minor-league rehab game for Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday. The 24-year-old is making his way back from a fractured foot that he suffered when he kicked a water cooler in the dugout in frustration on July 19. The Mariners aren't going to rush him back, but barring any setbacks, Kelenic should return to a regular role in Seattle's outfield sooner than later. He disappointed in his first two MLB seasons, but Kelenic was turning things around this year before going on the injured list. In 90 games (362 plate appearances) in 2023, he's hit .252 (82-for-326) with 11 home runs, 24 doubles, two triples, 45 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 43 runs scored.
