1 year agoAfter starting in 19th place, Martin Truex Jr. finished sixth at Watkins Glen. Sunday's finish marked his 15th top-10 finish this season. However, it was not enough for him to clinch the regular season championship. Despite being 60 points behind Truex in the regular season standings heading into Sunday's race, Denny Hamlin's second-place finish at the Glen cut that lead to just 39 points.
