Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew was the lead signal caller, with rookie Anthony Richardson getting the day off, completing 13-of-15 passes for 107 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 24-17 win over the Bears. The  Colts decided to rest the majority of their starters in Saturday's preseason game. Without most of the starters, Juwann Winfree was the favorite route runner, being targeted six times for 24 yards and a touchdown in the back of the end zone. Rookie third-round pick Josh Downs was also targeted three times and converted two third downs. Sam Ehlinger received the second-half work and also had a solid performance, throwing for 124 yards and rushing for 60 yards and a score. Minshew is expected to be the backup to Richardson and is mainly a handcuff to the rookie quarterback in superflex leagues.
