Rafael Devers Smashes A Two-Run Homer In Red Sox's Loss
1 year agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers crushed his 27th home run of the season, losing to the Washington Nationals 10-7 on Thursday. Going into the seventh frame, the Red Sox were down 9-1. However, they would narrow the lead after second baseman Luis Urias hit a grand-slam to kick off the inning. Two batters later, Devers stepped up and smacked a two-run shot. Despite the rally, Boston still fell short. The 26-year-old Devers has only hit two home runs so far in August. Otherwise, he is having a solid season as he is slashing .262/.335/.844 with 81 RBI in 432 at-bats.
