Michael Lorenzen Throws First Career No-Hitter
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen was impressive during his team debut last week, but was able to top it on Wednesday. The right-hander tossed his first career no-hitter versus the Washington Nationals during Wednesday's contest. He struck out five batters, but also walked four hitters which didn't help his pitch count. Lorenzen threw a total of 124 pitches during this game. The right-hander has already exceeded his previous career-high of 113 total innings. That being said, the Phillies might be cautious with Lorenzen down the stretch of the season. However, it's going to be tough for them to limit him when he's pitching this well.
