1 year agoVegas Golden Knights forward Brett Howden signed a two-year, $3.8 million contract with the team on Wednesday. By coming to an agreement, the Golden Knights avoid an arbitration process with Howden, who came off a one-year, $1.5 million deal and was a restricted free agent. Howden, who has a $1.9 million cap hit with his new contract, made a modest contribution in 2022-23 by notching 13 points in 54 games during the regular season, but he elevated his game during the team's run to the Stanley Cup triumph and had five goals and 10 points in 22 playoff appearances. The 25-year-old will try to replicate the form in 2023-24 as he looks set to remain paired with Chandler Stephenson and Mark Stone on a productive line.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
