1 year agoAccording to Jake Fischer of Yahoo, the Hawks are optimistic that a contract extension for guard Dejounte Murray will happen. The 26-year-old averaged 20.5 points, 6.1 assists, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in his first season in Atlanta. Unfortunately, the Hawks struggled at times, leading many to believe Murray would be on his way out. While that still could happen, there is time to work on a new deal, considering he has one year remaining on his current contract. That said, although Murray's fantasy ceiling was arguably higher in San Antonio, he's at least a top-25 option in all formats heading into the 2023-24 campaign.
