1 year agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (oblique) took batting practice at 60% intensity on Sunday. He later reporters that he plans to ramp it up on Monday, depending on how he feels, before getting some work in the field. Alvarez has been out for nearly a month while dealing with a right oblique strain but the good news is that he appears to be on track to return after the All-Star break. He owns a stellar .277/.388/.589 batting line to go along with 17 home runs and 55 RBI over 202 at-bats on the season.
