Joe Ryan Gets Shelled Tuesday, Allows Five Homers
1 year agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Joe Ryan had a very different outcome in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Braves than he did in his last start. Coming off of a complete-game shutout, Ryan pitched just three innings and allowed six runs on nine hits (including five home runs) and no walks with five strikeouts. The 27-year-old has a respectable 3.44 ERA through 16 starts but has been inconsistent. He now has two starts allowing six runs sandwiching his complete-game gem. Fantasy managers may be frustrated, but Ryan should have a strong chance to rebound in his next start against the Royals.
