Marcus Stroman Exits Start Early With Blister
1 year agoUpdating a previous report, Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (finger) exited Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals in London early with a blister on his right index finger. The blister had not opened up yet so the Cubs removed him before its condition worsened. It was a rough start for Stroman, prior to his departure, as he allowed six runs (three earned) on eight hits over 3 1/3 innings. There's a good chance the blister had something to do with his poor performance. The Cubs should provide another update on him following the end of the game on Sunday but fantasy managers should have a backup plan in place in case the 32-year-old hurler were to miss his next start.
