Pistons Trade Up To Select Marcus Sasser
1 year agoThe Detroit Pistons traded up with the Boston Celtics to get the No. 25 pick and drafted Marcus Sasser out of Houston. They also sent future second-round picks to the Celtics so that they could ensure that no one else took the guy that they were so high on. Sasser is a smaller combo guard, standing at 6-foot-2, and he spent four years in college before declaring for the draft. The 22-year-old senior averaged 16.8 points, 3.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game over 36 games in his final season. The Pistons now add a little more guard depth behind Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, and Killian Hayes.
