Bengals May Demand Joe Mixon Take A Pay Cut
1 year agoAccording to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, the Bengals may demand running back Joe Mixon agree to a cut in pay. It's not a secret that many teams aren't looking to spend big money on the position, and Cincinnati is prioritizing new deals for Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins. As a result, Mixon could be on his way out if he isn't willing to take a reduced salary, meaning Cincinnati would look to the open market to fill the void. That said, the former Oklahoma Sooner finished last season by rushing for 814 yards and seven touchdowns off 210 carries. He also found the end zone two more times as a pass-catcher. However, Mixon's subpar 2022-23 campaign left a sour taste in the mouths of fantasy managers, so he won't be as attractive of a fantasy option.
