1 year agoBoston Celtics forward Danilo Gallinari has decided to exercise his $6.8 million player option for the 2023-24 season. The 34-year-old missed the entirety of last season after suffering a torn left ACL during a FIBA qualifying game for Italy. Before that, Gallinari signed a two-year, $13.3 million deal with Boston. It was unlikely that Gallinari would have much value in free agency after missing all of last season. That being said, it's no surprise that he decided to accept his player option. His role in Boston will likely be determined on how the offseason goes for the Celtics. It remains to be seen what he has left in the tank after this significant injury.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
