Fred VanVleet Unlikely To Return To Toronto
1 year agoAccording to NBA insider Marc Stein, guard Fred VanVleet is "more likely than not to relocate" this offseason. It's a new era in Toronto, with the team parting ways with Nick Nurse and hiring Grizzlies assistant Darko Rajakovic to replace him. As a result, the Raptors could be entering a rebuild and might not be inclined to keep VanVleet, even if he wanted to stay. The 29-year-old has played his entire career in Toronto, averaging 29.7 points and 5.3 assists while shooting 40.2% from deep in 417 regular season games. He has a player option, which he's expected to decline, and will immediately draw interest from clubs around the league. One thing is for certain, VanVleet will remain a top fantasy producer. But he'll need to stay healthy, something that has been an issue over the years.
