Marcell Ozuna Hits 12th Homer In Wild Win
2 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder/designated hitter Marcell Ozuna went 1-for-5 with his 12th home run of the season, an RBI, run scored and three strikeouts in the team's wild 13-10 walk-off victory over the division-rival New York Mets on Thursday night. Ozuna's long ball was one of five for the Braves in the extra-inning affair. The 32-year-old Dominican slugger got off to a pretty poor start in the first month-plus of the season, but he's seeing the ball better now and is hitting .310 (13-for-42) with three doubles, three home runs and seven RBI in his last 12 games. Overall, Ozuna is now slashing .234 with a .797 OPS, 12 home runs and 26 RBI in 47 games played. He's not going to help much with batting average, but Ozuna still deserves to be rostered for his pop.
