1 year agoDaniel Suarez had a better qualifying effort than some expected. The Trackhouse Racing driver starts 13th for the Enjoy Illinois 300. Suarez was very fast during the middle portion of the race and even got up to seventh after Stage 2. The problem was the No. 99 car could not hold track position. That is because his jack broke on a pit stop. Suarez was as high as sixth but faded to 23rd after that mishap. Suarez and Ross Chastain have been fast on the track in longer intervals where tenths lost do not matter as much. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
