Tyler O'Neill "At A Standstill"
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said that outfielder Tyler O'Neill's (back) rehab is "at a standstill." O'Neill has been out since May 5 with a lower-back strain and has been shut down from baseball activities three times because of persistent pain. The 27-year-old power/speed threat still needs to be stashed in an injured-list spot in most fantasy leagues, but he is out indefinitely until further notice. It's a frustrating development after he went 21-for-92 (.228) with four doubles, two home runs, six RBI and a stolen base in 29 games before his back injury. Until further notice, Lars Nootbaar will continue to serve as the team's starting center fielder and leadoff hitter with O'Neill on the shelf.
