Kevin Kiermaier Day-To-Day With Lower-Back Discomfort
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (back) is considered day-to-day with lower-back discomfort. He left Saturday's game against the Twins in the third inning after hurting his back on a throw. The 33-year-old received treatment on his back from the trainers Saturday afternoon and is considered day-to-day. He will undergo more treatment on his back Sunday. Kiermaier didn't log an at-bat before exiting. The Jays have Monday off and could opt to rest the veteran outfielder for the series finale versus the Twins. Kiermaier is slashing .319/.366/.511 with four home runs, 15 RBI, 23 runs, and five stolen bases over 43 games. Cavan Biggio would see an uptick in at-bats if Kiermaier misses additional games.
