2 years agoCarolina Panthers tight end Hayden Hurst (hernia) is recovering from sports-hernia surgery this offseason and wasn't at the team's first few open offseason workouts. There isn't a specific timetable for Hurst's return, but it doesn't sound like something that will jeopardize his availability for the start of the 2023 regular season. The 29-year-old was inked to a three-year deal earlier this offseason and figures to be a prominent aerial weapon for rookie first-round quarterback Bryce Young this year. In 13 starts for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2022, Hurst had 52 catches for 414 yards and two touchdowns. He's never had more than 56 catches, 571 yards or six TDs in a single season, though, so he'll remain more of a low-end TE2 in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
