Ross Chastain Will Have Many Opportunities To Wreck Competitors on Sunday
2 years agoNASCAR's wrecking ball, Ross Chastain, will have plenty of opportunities to beat and bang with his competition in Sunday night's All Star Race, as the Trackhouse Racing driver will start 18th in the 24 car field at North Wilkesboro. Following last week's controversy at Darlington Raceway, Rick Hendrick--owner of Hendrick Motorsports and a flagship figure in the sport--stated, "he's going to make a lot of enemies. It's hard to win a championship when you've got a lot of paybacks out there" when discussing Chastain and his driving style. In practice this weekend, Chastain ranked 10th-fastest in 20-lap average, so it may take some more beating and banging (as opposed to simply raw speed) for him to get the $1 million win on Sunday night.
